Welcome to Mary’s Yard
A new chapter is beginning in Brampton.
We’re bringing Libby’s into the Scrannery family and, over the coming months, we are going to be busy carefully transforming the space into Mary’s Yard.
The things people love about this corner of Brampton aren’t going anywhere. Good coffee. Honest food. Friendly faces. We’re simply adding our own touch and looking forward to sharing what’s next.
A place for Brampton.
For almost twenty years, this corner of Brampton has been a place to stop, catch up, and enjoy good food and coffee. As we begin a new chapter, we wanted a name that felt rooted in the place we now call home.
Mary’s Yard takes its inspiration from Mary Smith, founder of Brampton Brewery in 1839, whose enterprise helped shape the local area. Her story reflects the independence, craftsmanship and warm hospitality that continue to define Brampton today.
Now proudly part of the Scrannery family, Mary’s Yard builds on those traditions with honest food, exceptional coffee, and a warm welcome for everyone who walks through the door.
Bringing together traditional and modern values
Mary’s Yard will be a café rooted in Brampton’s character, bringing together good food, exceptional coffee, and thoughtful hospitality in a place designed for long breakfasts, unhurried lunches, and catching up with friends. Combining local heritage with the Scrannery way, it’s intended to become a destination people return to time and again.

A careful transition.
We know places matter. They’re where friendships begin, celebrations happen, and routines are made.
As we begin work on Mary’s Yard, we’re taking care to preserve the warmth that made Libby’s special, while bringing new ideas, new menus and new experiences for the future.

More about Scrannery
Scrannery believes good food and exceptional coffee bring people together. From Discovery in Sheffield to Nook & Scran in Chesterfield and now Mary’s Yard in Brampton, every Scrannery space is shaped by the community around it.
Different places. The same Scrannery way.
